  3. Mar 16,  · Sneaks was released when many of Spoon’s audience (including me) were in the process of pursuing our undergrads, pondering our own futures. The listlessness of the album—and certainly, the 14 tracks shuffle in and out of the album’s thirty-three minute duration like half-jotted stories and unfinished scrub mixes—can be equated with that restlessness, impatience and insecurity.
  4. May 04,  · A Series Of Sneaks may not be the best Spoon LP, but it’s definitely the most underrated. There’s an unseen line of demarcation between this album .
  5. A Series of Sneaks was the last album of theirs I purchased, but it is certainly no afterthought; indeed, this record is one of their most essential. In their previous album, Telephono, Spoon synthesized the influences of Pixies, Pavement, and other late 80's/early 90's .
  6. A Series of Sneaks Spoon. Car Radio Lyrics. 7. Metal Album Credits. Producers John Croslin & Spoon. Writers Britt Daniel, Jim Eno & Josh Zarbo. More Spoon albums.
  7. With A Series of Sneaks, Spoon became one of the unsung heroes of the guitar-driven post-punk tradition inhabited by bands such as Wire, Gang of Four, Hüsker Dü, and the inconmedipecopapunhostfigulec.xyzinfo were the guitar wizards who could package a variety of taut, terse, and inventive guitar sounds and unpredictable melodies into short, tight bursts one could still consider pop songs.8/
  8. "A Series of Sneaks" is a huge improvement over their debut in pretty much every level. The hooks pack more punch, the lyrics are well-written and delivered, the short track lengths are more straightforward and it's just a lot more fun overall.
